The Research & Development Cell (RD Cell) of the Institute of Applied Statistics (IAS) is established with a vision to strengthen the culture of research, innovation, and evidence-based knowledge creation across diverse disciplines. The RD Cell acts as a catalyst for promoting high-quality research in medical sciences, AYUSH, public health, data science, engineering, management and interdisciplinary domains, while fostering collaborations at national and international levels.

To support capacity building in research methodology, data analysis, and scientific writing.

Key Functions of RD Cell

Research Support & Consultation — Guidance in study design, data analysis, interpretation, and manuscript preparation.

Capacity Building — Organizing FDPs, workshops, certificate programmes, and training in statistics, biostatistics, research methodology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and healthcare applications.

Collaborative Projects —Facilitating interdisciplinary and multicentric research initiatives with academic institutions and healthcare organizations.

Publications & Knowledge Sharing– Encouraging quality publications, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and evidence synthesis.
